Nathan Donahoo started Coast Custom 12 Volt because he saw too many caravans and 4WDs fitted with systems that looked the part but failed when it mattered — in the middle of nowhere, days from the nearest town.
With a background in marine electrics on the Sunshine Coast — where systems have to work no matter what — Nathan brought the same engineering discipline to the 12V world. Every build is designed to handle real conditions, not just the driveway.
He’s fully mobile across Warwick, Toowoomba, and the Southern Downs. No workshop drop-offs, no waiting weeks. He comes to you, assesses the job properly, and builds it right.
Our Story
The name “Coast Custom” comes from Nathan’s roots on the Sunshine Coast, where he spent years working on marine electrical systems. Boats demand a different standard — everything has to be watertight, reliable, and built for sustained off-grid use. That’s the mindset he brings to every 12V install.
When Nathan relocated to Warwick and the Darling Downs region, he recognised a gap in the market. The area is home to serious grey nomads, working farmers, and hard-core 4WD tourers — people who need 12V systems that perform for months on end, not just a weekend.
Coast Custom was built to serve that customer. Not the person who wants the cheapest option — the one who wants it done properly, once.

Every system we install is engineered and certified to this standard. That means your insurance is protected, your system is safe, and the wiring won’t let you down 1,000km from the nearest town.
